Suspect Arrested for Alleged Sexual Battery at Restaurant in Culver City

CULVER CITY, CA  — An individual has been arrested for alleged sexual battery and harassment at a restaurant in Culver City, according to police.

In a press release, the Culver City Police Department reported that they had responded to a disturbance call on the 13400 block of Washington Blvd. on the afternoon of Monday, Feb. 10.

An officer arrived on scene and reportedly witnessed the suspect behaving aggressively and backing an employee into a corner. The officer moved between the suspect and the victim and took the suspect into custody.

Police say the suspect, who had also been reported to be armed, had allegedly been harassing employees and, at one point, jumped over the counter and entered the kitchen area of the restaurant.

When employees attempted to remove the suspect, the suspect allegedly grabbed a female employee, committing a sexual assault, police said. The suspect is accused of sexually assaulting a second female employee during the ordeal.

The suspect was later booked at the Culver City jail on suspicion of sexual battery, police said.
