S.F. Man Arrested for Allegedly Burglarizing San Mateo Gas Station

PESCADERO, CA  —  “San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies swiftly arrested a suspect who broke into a Pescadero gas station early Friday morning.

On February 21, 2025 at around 1:45 a.m., Sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Coastside Patrol Bureau were dispatched to Gazo’s Creek Alliance Gas Station located at 5720 Cabrillo Highway in Pescadero on the report of an in-progress burglary.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect had broken into the building, causing damage, and was still inside. Using commands and de-escalation, the suspect was taken into custody safely and without incident.

Through the investigation, the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Richard R. Briceno Pacheco of San Francisco, was found to have committed theft while inside the store.

As a result of the investigation, Briceno Pacheco was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for felony second-degree burglary and two warrants out of San Jose and Alameda County for Assault and Vandalism.”
