Three Arrested in Visalia Traffic Stop; Drugs and Firearm Seized

Late last night, just after 11:00 p.m., a Visalia Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop near Laura Avenue and Linwood Street for a mechanical violation. Upon investigation, the driver, identified as 36-year-old Brenda Flores, was found to be unlicensed and had an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence. She was taken into custody for the warrant and for driving without a valid license.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also arrested. Officers located drug paraphernalia in the possession of 40-year-old Veronica Montemayor, who was taken into custody for possession of drug-related items. A search of 39-year-old Josh Rojas led to the discovery of several packages of marijuana, methamphetamine, and Oxycodone. Additionally, officers found a .22 caliber handgun, loaded magazines, a scale, and cash, leading to his arrest on multiple narcotics and firearms-related charges.

All three individuals were transported and booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Detention Facility. The investigation remains ongoing.
