Yuba County Authorities Seek Suspect Accused of Striking One Person with Vehicle and Shooting at Another
OLIVEHURST, CA — “On February 24, 2025, just after 7 p.m., the Yuba County Dispatch Center received multiple calls stating a man had struck a person with his vehicle and also fired a weapon at someone in the area of Arboga Road and Kay Street in Olivehurst. Upon arrival deputies located a victim who had sustained moderate injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle and they were transported to Adventist Health and Rideout Hospital in Marysville. A separate victim told deputies that the same suspect had fired a weapon at them and then retreated into a residence in the 5700 block of Arboga Road. This prompted the activation of the SWAT team who responded and surrounded the residence.
After hours of attempting to contact the suspect inside, SWAT team members eventually entered and cleared the residence without locating anyone inside. They did, however, find a firearm inside of the residence.
Investigators are actively working to positively identify the suspect and bring him into custody. This is still a very active investigation and further details at this time are not available.”
