Shasta County Man Gets 32 Years to Life for Sexual Abuse of Eight Victims

REDDING, CA  —  “After years of evading law enforcement, Bo Nunn pled to 32 years to life, in state prison for the sexual abuse of eight female victims, most of whom were family members. His crimes began in 2009 and spanned nearly a decade before law enforcement uncovered his actions, leading to an investigation in 2018.

Following the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Nunn. Instead of facing justice, he fled the Redding area and went to extreme lengths to avoid capture, including disguising himself as a woman to elude police.

On January 29, 2023, Nunn was arrested during a traffic stop by the Nevada City Police Department, ending his years on the run. After his arrest, he was extradited to Shasta County, where he remained in custody while awaiting trial.

The Redding Police Department worked closely with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office throughout this case to ensure a thorough investigation and prosecution. Their combined efforts, along with the courage of the victims who came forward, were instrumental in securing justice.”
