Police: Upstairs Neighbor Arrested After Apartment Tenants Find Bullet Hole in Their Ceiling

BENICIA, CA  — An individual in Solano County was arrested for allegedly discharging a firearm after their downstairs neighbors discovered a bullet hole in the ceiling, according to police.

In a press release, the Benicia Police Department revealed that residents at a local apartment complex had contacted them after discovering a “bullet projectile” in their home in early February.

They also discovered a hole in the ceiling, suggesting the projectile had come from above, police said.

In late February, detectives reportedly carried out a warrant for the upstairs apartment and any vehicles associated with the people living there.

Investigators located a loaded and unregistered firearm in one of the suspect vehicles, according to police.

One of the upstairs residents was ultimately arrested for alleged weapons violations.
