Roseville Police Crack Down on Child Exploitation: Two Arrested in CSAM Cases

ROSEVILLE, CA  —  “The Roseville Police Department recently made two arrests following separate investigations into the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Both cases stemmed from cyber tips that led detectives to individuals involved in sharing explicit material of minors. The first case involved a 35-year-old female who was trading explicit images of underage juveniles on a popular message app called kik. The second case resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old male who was also sharing explicit images of underage juveniles via the internet.

Each of these cases required a significant amount of investigation, including; search warrants, forensic analysis, and confessions. After extensive investigations, detectives were able to successfully identify and apprehend the suspects. These arrests highlight the importance of ongoing efforts to combat online child exploitation and hold offenders accountable.
Parents, Stay Alert! 🚨

Many offenders use social media and messaging apps like kik and cloud storage services like Google Drive to distribute illegal content. Predators often operate in group chats and disguise their actions under false pretenses.

1. Monitor your child’s online activity.
2. Talk to them about the risks of engaging with strangers online.
3. Be aware of apps that allow anonymous messaging or file sharing.”
