Juvenile Suspect Arrested for Using Dating App to Lure and Rob Victims in Live Oak

LIVE OAK, CA — The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a juvenile male suspect on March 5, 2025, in connection with multiple attempted robberies and criminal threats in Live Oak, California. Investigators determined that the suspect used a dating app to pose as a 24-year-old, arranging meetings with male victims before demanding money and making threats with a firearm.
In one instance, the suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at a victim. Following reports of these incidents, deputies launched an undercover operation, arranging a meeting with the suspect. When law enforcement confronted him, he attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended without further incident. Deputies recovered a replica firearm at the scene.
