SUTTER CREEK, CA — “Last night at 1130 pm the midnight shift SCPD officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle seen at Ridge and 49.
The officer spoke with the male driver and female passenger, both from Sacramento.
The driver presented the officer with a driver’s license that looked similar to him, but the officer was not convinced he was who he claimed.
During the on scene investigation the officer was able to determine that the driver had lied about his identity and was not the person he initially said he was.
He was taken into custody and searched.
The officer and Sergeant discovered close to a gram of methamphetamine in the car. A search of his wallet yielded SIX BANK CARDS belonging to other people.
The 41 year old male driver, on mandatory supervision out of Sacramento County for theft, was booked into the Amador County Jail on drug possession charges, identity theft and driving without a license.
Rest easy at night, Sutter Creek. We have your six!”
