Two Arrested for Attempted Theft at PG&E Facility in American Canyon

American Canyon police arrested two individuals Sunday evening following an attempted theft at a PG&E facility. Authorities were alerted shortly before 7:00 p.m. on March 2 after security surveillance detected trespassers on the property. One suspect was reported wearing a black ski mask and carrying an object resembling a carjack.
Officers located a vehicle matching the suspects’ description, a silver and black Ford Fusion, traveling eastbound on Green Island Road. During a search, officers recovered a stolen dirt compacter belonging to PG&E, along with burglary tools, including copper cutters and bolt cutters. Additional items found inside the vehicle included two BB handguns, gloves, and two walkie-talkies.
The occupants were identified as 38-year-old Franklin Morales of San Pablo and 30-year-old Jose Carrero Rosas of Concord. Both were arrested and booked into the Napa County Jail on charges of possession of burglary tools, grand theft, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
