Two Arrested in Fatal Assault at Visalia Apartment Complex
VISALIA, CA — “On Sunday, March 9, 2025, just before 5:00 a.m., Visalia Police officers responded to reports of a large fight at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of North Divisadero Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old man unconscious and a 28-year-old man, both suffering from injuries consistent with a physical assault. Both victims were transported to Kaweah Health, where the 54-year-old was listed in critical condition. Sadly, he later passed away from his injuries.
Officers learned that the suspects were still in the complex and detained multiple individuals believed to be involved. The Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation, leading to the arrests of 29-year-old Oscar Medrano of Visalia and 24-year-old Mario Lopez of Corcoran.
Both suspects have now been charged with homicide and were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
