Extensive Drug Bust in Paso Robles Leads to Arrests and Seizure of Fentanyl and Firearms

PASO ROBLES, CA — “On 03/13/2025, officers from the Paso Robles Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a search warrant on a storage unit located near San Miguel. The warrant was obtained after two narcotic detection K9’s, Paso Robles Police K9 “Griff” and Atascadero Police Department K9 “Maverick”, both indicated to the presence of narcotic odor coming from a storage unit. During the search of the storage unit, 2.5 ounces of fentanyl was located, along with a .22 Ruger handgun with the serial numbers removed. The storage unit was rented out by suspect Chris Boerner of Paso Robles.
A secondary warrant was served on Boerner’s residence, located in Paso Robles, and vehicle. Boerner was located driving his vehicle in Paso Robles, where he was stopped and arrested. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered a hidden safe in the seat headrest that contained fentanyl, cash, and evidence of drug sales. Officers then served the search warrant on Boerner’s residence and located additional fentanyl, cocaine, cash, drug paraphernalia, and evidence of narcotic sales. The total of the seized evidence was:
.67 pounds (311 grams) of suspected fentanyl and cocaine (mixed)$14,715 in US currency
Scales and drug paraphernalia.
The following suspects were arrested for several felony violations as a result of this narcotics investigation:
* Christopher Boerner (44) of Paso Robles for possession of a controlled substance for sale (felony), possession of a firearm by restricted person (felony), false compartment to conceal narcotics (felony), and conspiracy to distribute narcotics (felony).
* Carrie Cassidy (41) of Paso Robles for possession of controlled substance for sale (felony) and child endangerment (felony).
Both suspects were transported to County Jail on the aforementioned charges.”
