Tuolumne County Man Arrested for Allegedly Trying to Meet Minor for Sexual Contact
CHINESE CAMP, CA — “On March 4th, 2025, at about 1036 am., during an investigation into an electronic device, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested 61-year-old Charles Raymond Hoover in the area of Red Hills Road near Washington Street in Chinese Camp, CA. Hoover is suspected of communicating with a minor and arranging to meet with the intent of sexual contact.
Hoover was booked at the Dambacher Detention Center on the charges of 288.4 PC – Arranging to meet with a minor for sexual contact and 288.3 PC – Communicating with a minor with intent of sexual contact. This is an active investigation, and detectives are pursuing all leads.
Due to the involvement of minors, limited information is being released.”
