PLACERVILLE, CA — “On March 24, 2025, at around 2:20pm, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Central Dispatch received a phone call indicating that a shooting had occurred at a residence in the 5600 block of Rocky Ridge Rd. Placerville, Ca. Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office immediately responded to the area.
The victim in the assault was a 56-year-old male, resident of Placerville, had been transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injury.
Sven Gosta Metour, age 57, of Placerville was believed to be the suspect.
Metour was contacted in his vehicle and taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the El Dorado County Jail, Placerville for the following charges Assault with a firearm – PC 245(a)(2) and Felon in possession of a firearm PC 29800(a)(1). Mr. Metour’s bail was set at $210,000.
Due to the active nature of the investigation, no further information will be provided.”
