LIVERMORE, CA — Multiple drug-related and firearms charges were filed on March 25th against 48 year old
Frank D. Apodaca, of Oakland.
Apodaca was arrested after illicit drugs and a loaded handgun were found during a traffic stop.
Livermore police stopped Apodaca on March 21 for a traffic violation shortly after 10 p.m. near the freeway interchange at North Vasco Road and Northfront

The traffic stop escalated to a more serious incident. “The officer noticed items inside the vehicle consistent with drug sales,” Livermore PD said in a prepared statement.
A K-9 unit was dispatched to assist at the scene. The police dog alerted officers to the presence of drugs. “A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 3 ounces of cocaine, prescription pills and fentanyl.” A loaded gun was also found in Apodaca’s possession.
Apodaca was placed under arrest, transported, and booked into Alameda County Santa Rita
Jail. He is no longer listed in the online county jail roster since charges were filed against him.
His charges include possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a concealed firearm with ammunition, controlled substance for sale and possession of a large quantity of contraband.
Apodaca has previous experience with law enforcement. He has prior convictions for petty
theft (2009), possession of a controlled substance (1999), and receiving stolen property
(1997).
