Arrest Made: Child Predator Used Online Gaming To Target Victim
PLACER COUNTY, CA — “On Monday, March 24, 2025, detectives with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office extradited a man facing multiple sexual abuse charges against a child under the age of 14. The investigation began in late 2024 when detectives from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Persons Unit learned a child under the age of 14 was being targeted by an adult predator through an online gaming platform. The adult suspect, who was later identified as 29-year-old Adrian Viguri of Anaheim, sent sexually explicit videos and pictures to the child. Viguri also requested and obtained explicit images and videos from the child.
In October of 2024, an arrest warrant was obtained for Viguri, however, detectives were unable to locate him. Last week, detectives received new information regarding Viguri possibly being in the Anaheim area in Southern California. Detectives contacted the Anaheim Police Department’s Crime Task Force (CTF) who assisted us in apprehending Viguri in Garden Grove, California for his Placer County arrest warrant.
On Monday, March 24th detectives used our Eagle 2 airplane to extradite Viguri back to Placer County where he will be arraigned on the charges committed against the juvenile victim. We are extremely grateful for the assistance we received from the Anaheim Police Department and their quick response in capturing Viguri.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to protecting the children of Placer County from sexual exploitation and will consistently present such conduct for legal review.
