SAN RAFAEL,CA  — A man already in custody at Marin County Jail has been arrested on
suspicion of attempted murder.

Haadi Bolourchi, 33, allegedly fired multiple shots at several persons last month in downtown San Rafael, which hit one victim.

San Rafael Police detectives investigating a February 27 shooting, identified Bolourchi as the suspect,
after reviewing surveillance video recordings. The shooting took place at a parking lot, near
the intersection First Street and B Street.

Bolourchi reportedly hid behind a fence and allegedly opened fire at a group of persons standing in front
of a business. A man who was struck by a bullet suffered hand injury, requiring medical treatment at a hospital.

Detectives assigned to the shooting investigation learned that Bolourchi has been in jail since
March 14. He was behind bars for unrelated charges for DUI alcohol/drugs and a probation
violation.

Detectives next made arrangements to arrest Bolourchi for new charges at the jailhouse on March 21.
“The reason for shooting and connection between the suspect and victim are still
under investigation,” officials said.

Bolourchi has a lengthy record of prior arrests. He has been arrested 28 times since 2013.
His prior arrests are related to burglary, firearms, DUI/alcohol drugs, probation violations, and
other offenses.
