Sheriff’s Office: Man Wanted on Domestic Violence Warrants Arrested During Traffic Stop, Weapons Confiscated

HANFORD, CA — A man wanted on domestic violence warrants was arrested after getting pulled over for speeding and was caught illegally possessing weapons, according to authorities.
In a press release, the Kings County Sheriff’s Office reported that a deputy sheriff had been on patrol in the area of 6th Avenue and Highway 198 on the afternoon of Monday, March 17, when they spotted a vehicle — described as a GMC Yukon — traveling west at high speed.
The deputy sheriff pulled over the motorist and reportedly identified him as Patrick Warren, 30. The deputy sheriff also discovered that Warren had two outstanding domestic violence warrants out of Fresno and Kings counties, respectively.
Upon a search of the vehicle, authorities reportedly seized a Glock 22 .40 caliber and a Ruger 5.7, both equipped with high-capacity magazines. Due to prior felony convictions, Warren is prohibited from possessing weapons or ammunition.
Warren was arrested and ultimately booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a high-capacity magazine, being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, and possession of a controlled substance while armed with a firearm, according to the sheriff’s office.
Warren’s bail was set at $115,000.
