LIVERMORE, CA  — One suspect has been arrested following burglaries and thefts at hobby and
toy stores in the San Francisco Bay area.

Amiri Noorullah, 29, of Livermore, faces multiple charges including organized retail theft, grand theft and receiving stolen property.
Alameda County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Noorullah following a search of his residence.

Noorullah was apprehended with help from gang suppression and street crimes units. He was booked into Alameda County Santa Rita Jail on March 27.

Noorullah is allegedly one of the two suspects who entered and stole merchandise from Crush Comics in Castro Valley. This burglary happened March 25 at 3 a.m., and it was
recorded on store security video. The second unidentified suspect involved is still being sought.

Deputies found a significant amount of evidence inside Norullah’s residence. They recovered
nearly 200 boxes of Lego construction toys, comic books and action figure collectibles.
In addition to merchandise from the Castro Valley store, deputies found merchandise
evidently stolen from a store in San Leandro. Altogether the retail value of the merchandise
recovered totals approximately $12,000.

Thefts of similar merchandise also have occurred recently in Contra Costa County at stores in
Lafayette and San Ramon. Apparently, stolen merchandise was being offered for sale online.
Noorullah has a prior conviction for first-degree residential burglary in 2015. He also has prior arrests on his record for burglaries, possession of a
controlled substance, and a DUI alcohol/drugs.
