FOLSOM, CA — “On Friday (4/4/25) night, thanks to a tip from a concerned citizen, Officers became aware of a juvenile-organized party being promoted online. The event, which rapidly changed locations from Rancho Cordova to Cameron Park and finally to the Leidesdorff parking garage, attracted many underage attendees.
Thanks to the early notice, and efforts by Officers on duty, we were able to monitor the area and deterred over 50 vehicles from stopping in the area, preventing what could have become a dangerous gathering.
During the incident, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle headed toward the parking structure. The driver fled, prompting a short pursuit. The vehicle eventually stopped nearby, where officers discovered multiple juveniles, open alcohol containers, and -most concerning-a loaded 9mm handgun in the waistband of the juvenile driver.
The juvenile was arrested and booked into Sacramento County Juvenile Hall on firearm and evading charges.
