San Jose Resident Arrested & Identified as Attempted Murder Suspect

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — “On Sunday, March 30, at approximately 2:51 p.m., Mountain View Police Department officers were dispatched to the 900 block of El Camino Real in response to a reported domestic violence dispute. The reporting party informed officers that a male was bleeding.
Upon arrival, officers located the victim and observed injuries consistent with a stab wound to the hand. The City of Mountain View Fire Department arrived and provided medical treatment to the victim.
The victim was home when the suspect arrived at his door. The suspect, known to the victim from a past relationship, engaged in a confrontation that escalated. During the altercation, the suspect produced a pocketknife and attempted to stab the victim, resulting in injuries to his hand, along with attempting to break into the residence.
The suspect fled in her vehicle prior to police arrival. Later that evening, the San Jose Police Department located the suspect in her vehicle. The San Jose Police Department also located a firearm in the vehicle.
Shetaura Johnson, a 39-year-old San Jose resident, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on the following charges, one count of Penal Code 664/187(a) – Attempted Murder, one count of Penal Code 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Penal Code 273.5(a) – Inflicting Corporal Injury on a Domestic Partner, one count of Penal Code 459(a) – Residential Burglary, and one count of Penal Code 25400(a)(1) – Carrying a Concealed Firearm in a Vehicle.
During the booking process, officers located suspected methamphetamine on her person. An additional count of Penal Code 4573.5 – Bringing Unlawful Contraband into a Secured Facility was added.”
