Man Arrested for Allegedly Attacking Other Man with Knife in Ukiah

UKIAH, CA  —  “On 04-07-2025 at approximately 03:28 A.M., Deputies with the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to investigate an assault on Kunzler Ranch Road in Ukiah, CA. Deputies responded and contacted a 62-year-old male in the 600 block of Kunzler Ranch Road.

The 62-year-old male stated Karl Gage had entered his residence and an argument ensued. During the argument Gage used a knife to cut the male’s face and arm. The male suffered lacerations to his lip and arm consistent with a cut from a sharp instrument. The male subject sought medical treatment due to the injuries caused by Gage.

Gage left the scene prior to Deputies arriving. During the investigation, Gage was determined to be on CDCR Parole was ultimately located and placed under arrest for 203 PC (Felony Mayhem), 459/460(a) PC (Felony First Degree Burglary), 3056 PC (Parole Violation) and 245(a)(1) PC (Assault with a Deadly Weapon).

Gage was subsequently booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held on a no-bail status due to violating the terms of his Parole.”
