Ukiah Teen’s Alleged Stabbing of Other Teen Suspected to Be Gang-Related, Authorities Say

UKIAH, CA — Mendocino County authorities have reportedly arrested a juvenile suspect for the alleged attempted murder of another juvenile.
According to a press release by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded on the evening of Tuesday, April 7, to a report of a stabbing on the 300 block of Brush Street.
At the scene, deputies reportedly located a 15-year-old juvenile who had sustained multiple lacerations and puncture wounds, consistent with injuries from a sharp object.
The victim told deputies that he had been stabbed several times by an individual in a red shirt who had fled prior to the deputies’ arrival, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded to that area, and ultimately located a suspect matching this description on the 500 block of Ford Street. Deputies detained the suspect without incident, identifying him as a 16-year-old juvenile.
The juvenile suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and booked into the Mendocino County Juvenile hall, the sheriff’s office said.
