Sheriff’s Office: Sonora Man Arrested for Alleged Possession of CSAM

SONORA, CA — “In February of this year, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division received a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force related to a Tuolumne County resident engaged in the possession or distribution of Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM), commonly referred to as Child Pornography.
During their investigation, detectives authored several warrants to multiple social media companies. Through the warrants, detectives found evidence of possession and distribution of Child Sexual Assault Material and identified the suspect as 22-year-old Chandler Case of Sonora.
On April 3, 2025, TCSO detectives contacted and detained Case as he was leaving his residence. Detectives subsequently served a search warrant at Case’s Sonora home, where additional evidence items were seized.
Case was arrested and booked into the Dambacher Detention Center on charges related to the possession and distribution of CSAM.”
