Will He “Go” to Jail for Insurance Fraud?

LOS ANGELES— Will Andrew Barcoma Go, 51, “go” to jail for insurance fraud? The Bellflower resident recently faced seven felony counts, including six for identity theft and one for grand theft.

When Go worked for Farmer’s Insurance he “allegedly falsifyied information on insurance applications.” In doing this he stole over $34,000 from Farmer’s.

“My department regulates more than 410,000 licensed insurance agents and brokers,” said Commissioner Jones. “Go’s alleged behavior reflects poorly on every other honest agent who is trustworthy and works hard to serve their clients.”

the California Department of Insurance started an investigation after they received a complaint from Farmer’s. Go owned his own agency, Andrew B. Go Insurance Agency.

He “allegedly submitted falsified customer information on insurance policy applications and renewals without the customers’ knowledge.”  He did this  “in order to obtain unwarranted premium discounts.”

Numerous victims, who did not know Go, had their information stolen. Go, licensed since 2001, had that license revoked on July 18, 2017.

The LACSD arrested Go, who bailed out. An arraignment at LAC Superior Court is in his future
