Simultaneous kidnappings were attempted on October 27th. In Dinuba, a woman and her 11-year old son were targeted.
Jacob Flores and Ericka Flores attempted to take them into their custody but the woman fought until they gave up, stealing items from her vehicle as an apparent consolation prize.
At the same time, a male victim at a gas station in Cutler was targeted by three suspects: Paul Flores, Julian Hernandez, and an unidentified male suspect.
The male victim was taken to a residence for several hours during which he was beaten. He was eventually released and able to find his way to the safety of his own home.
The four people police believed to be responsible for the kidnappings are the above named suspects, three of which have been arrested. First arrested was Julian Hernandez. He is currently at the Kings County Jail until his transfer to a Tulare County Jail.
On November 13th, Tulare County Detectives arrested 40-year old Ericka Flores and 37-year old Jacob Flores. Ericka is in custody at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on charges of kidnapping during a carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.
Jacob is in custody at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility for assault with a deadly weapon and use of a firearm during a serious felony, among other charges.
Police believe the suspects have ties to a northern structure gang. This case is ongoing and Paul Flores, who remains on the run, is considered armed and dangerous. Information about his whereabouts or this case can be communicated anonymously by calling 559-725-4194.
