VACAVILLE – A couple, visiting from Brazil, was on their way to the San Francisco Airport to catch a flight back home. On the way to the airport, they stopped at the Vacaville Premium Outlets and, while shopping there, had their rental car broken into.
The thieves took thousands of dollars of electronics that the couple had recently bought. The couple called the Vacaville Police Department, who also received a call about two people looking into cars at Nut Tree Village. Next, two other victims called in car burglaries. An officer spotted the suspect’s car and tried to stop it, but the driver took off onto I-80 westbound.
Although the pursuit didn’t continue as the suspect’s reckless driving kept pursuing officers from staying on their tail, a witness reported that the suspects exited off of I-80 onto Cherry Glen Road.
Fairfield PD was ready, and spotted the vehicle at an apartment complex on Lyon Road. The pilfering pair left the car behind, but their foot escape soon ended in their arrest.
All of the stolen items from all three burglaries were recovered. The Brazilian couple, now at the airport, were of course happy at the news.
23-year-old Javina Woodson and 25-year-old Adonis Cail were arrested and charged with burglary and possession of stolen property. Cail was also charged with felony evading and a parole violation. Speaking of which, Woodson was also charged with probation violation.
Special thanks to the community involvement and law enforcement’s effective efforts.
