MAMMOTH LAKES -33 year old Jorge Romero Espitia of Mammoth Lakes was arrested on Thursday May 16th by the Mammoth Lakes Police Department. Mono County District Attorney Investigators also aided in the arrest.
Espitia faces a daunting 19 felony charges, including sexual acts minors as well as giving methamphetamine to minors. His was set at $500,000.
Investigators have reason to believe that there are other victims. The MLPD says, “If you or someone you know has information concerning Mr. Espitia and potential sexual acts with minors or furnishing illegal drugs to minors, please contact Mono County DA Chief Investigator Chris Callinan at 760-858-2127.”
They added, “Please remember that Mr. Espitia is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
