GREENVILLE – Just after 7:30 pm on Sunday May 19th a citizen flagged down a Plumas County Sheriff’s deputy on Main street. Apparently a house on Main Street was emitting a suspicious chemical smell.

The deputy went to the house at 118 Pine Street. Inside the home, Steven McIntire was on probation, the terms of which allowed for both he and his residence to be searched by law enforcement.

With this information in mind, the deputy searched the residence, coming into contact with Travis Fairbanks as well. In addition the deputy “located the ingredients and equipment to manufacture Butane Hash Oil. The Deputy also located a Pyrex type dish containing the finished product.”

Both McIntire and Fairbanks were arrested and face charges for manufacturing a controlled substance.
