LAKE TAHOE – Two young ladies imbibed some alcohol and then decided to try their hand at boat theft. The pair took a dinghy boat and went onto the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe.
The owner of the boat happened to be bicycling in the area and noticed his boat out in the water. The owner took the photos in this article, and also called the Place County Sheriff’s Office.
The girls refused to come ashore. Then the deputies showed up, by which time the girls were too drunk to row back in.
Therefore, an Obexer’s Harbor worker towed them in. 20-year-old Madison Riddle and 19-year-old Genevive Dyer, both from Reno, Nevada, were arrested and charged for grand theft.
Since their tour of the Auburn Jail, they have posted bail.
