LOS ANGELES – Massimo Barbagallo (dob 5/6/73) of Temple City is being held on $3 million bail for the murder of his unarmed neighbor this past Monday. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the murder charge on July 17th.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Prosecution presented the allegation of using a handgun to cause death. Barbagallo shot neighbor Cristian Jonathan Alarcon (26) at close range during a dispute.
“The victim died as a result of his injuries,” said PIO Ricardo Santiago. “Barbagallo faces one count of murder, with a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is actively investigating Case GA106148.
For fatally shooting his neighbor, the DA added, “Barbagallo pleaded not guilty to the charge and is expected to return on August 9 in Department 5 of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Alhambra Branch.”
