SAN FRANCISCO – A burglary in progress occurred on July 22nd at 2:45 p.m. at a residence in the 1500 block of 44th Avenue in the Taraval district.
Officers with the San Francisco Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Outside of the residence they came upon 20-year-old Tristen Stelly as he sat in a running car.
Two other individuals were spotted coming out of the residence. One suspect had a firearm and a flat pry bar in hand. Officers commanded him to drop the item, which he did, and was taken into custody.
The second suspect dropped a semi-automatic firearm and ran back into the house, trying to run out of the back door. That effort quickly ended in his apprehension.
The trio now face the following charges:
- 22-year-old Jose Banos-Gomez was charged with burglary, conspiracy, possession of stolen property, being a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting arrest;
- 20-year-old Frank English was charged with burglary, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools and possession of a loaded firearm;
- 20-year-old Tristan Stelly was charged with burglary and conspiracy.
