CORCORAN – A hit and run collision occurred on October 7th shortly before 7:00 p.m. in the 2000 block of Cottonwood Avenue.
Officers obtained a description of the vehicle that drove away. The description matched that of a vehicle reported stolen earlier in the day.
Other officers spotted the vehicle and tried to initiate a traffic stop, however the driver of the vehicle kept driving, eventually stopping in the 1800 block of Dairy Avenue.
The female driver was arrested. Her male passenger tried to run away.
“After a short chase,” the male passenger was also taken into custody.
The unnamed driver was “booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, evading a police officer and hit and run.”
Her unnamed male passenger was “booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center for possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.”
