The morning of October 22nd, a 16-year old student of Creekside Community Day school in Visalia told his teacher he would “shoot up” the school if he wasn’t permitted to smoke a joint.
The teen, who is on probation, was sent to the school’s administrative office while Tulare County Sheriff deputies were called.
The teen’s home was searched but no evidence pointing to a possible shooting was found.
Regardless, the threat in itself is a crime and deputies arrested the teen for terrorist threats and booked him at the Juvenile Detention Facility.
In a news release, Sheriff Boudreaux reiterated his first priority: keep children safe. Threats such as these will be not be tolerated and will always be taken as violations of the law.
