The Susanville Police Department recently published the following press releases via their official Facebook page.
“On November 6th, 2019 at about 5:40PM, officers from the Susanville Police Department were dispatched to a Main Street gas station on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Once officers arrived on scene, they contacted the involved parties. After investigation of the incident, they discovered a 14-year-old male juvenile had robbed the gas station armed with a knife. The male juvenile brandished a weapon and demanded money to which the store clerk complied. Shortly after the suspect had fled the scene, he was apprehended by officers. During the investigation the weapon and currency were located. The suspect was arrested and turned over to the custody of the Lassen County Probation Department.”
Next, there is this story about a drug stop –
“In the early morning hours of November 9, 2019 SPD Officers were on patrol when they pulled a vehicle over for a traffic violation. During the stop, Officer Hoover and his K-9 Zeke was present to conduct an exterior walk around of the vehicle. Zeke alerted to an area of the car, which resulted in a search of the vehicle.
Upon searching, Officers discovered methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a loaded gun. The suspect, 23 year old Daniel Arms of Susanville, was arrested then booked into the Lassen Co. Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded/concealed firearm.”
Finally, here is a press release about another robbery –
“On November 9 at 9:35 PM SPD responded to a report of a Robbery that just occurred at the Walgreens store. Officers arrived and did not locate anyone in the area and received the following information from a clerk in the store.
The clerk working the register at Walgreens said a person walked in the store wearing black pants and a camouflage hooded sweatshirt that covered his face. The person walked around the store for a few minutes and approached the counter with an item. The clerk was unable to see the suspect’s face and noticed he was wearing black gloves. The suspect pulled a black semi-auto pistol and pointed it at her. The Clerk put the money in the register in a Walgreens bag. The suspect walked out of the store.
The little information for the suspect, the suspect appears to be approximately 5’9” and a slender build. The case is still under investigation, anyone who has information should call the Police Department at 257-2171 or Crimestoppers at (530) 502-TIPS.”
