Merced County Sheriff announces STAR team fugitive apprehension

“WINTON, CA – On November 13, 2019, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office STAR Team began searching for Ervin Segebart who had a felony warrant for his arrest for a violation of parole. Deputy Damien Sparks and his K-9 Partner searched a residence in the 7000 Block of Crawford Street in Winton for Segebart. K-9 Zeke located Segebart hiding under a mattress and Segebart refused to come out. K-9 Zeke encouraged Segebart to come out of his hiding spot and Deputy Sparks arrested Segebart. Deputies transported Segebart to a local hospital before booking him into the Merced County Jail.”
