Here’s some good news from the Orland Police Department Official Facebook page about one of the newest members of their force –
“The Orland PD K9 Unit would like to introduce the newest member of the OPD family, K9 Dutch. Dutch is a 3 year old German Shepherd / Belgian Malinois cross. Dutch and his partner, Officer Roenspie, will be attending a basic handler school in March to be certified for patrol duties to include narcotics detection and suspect apprehension.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Meyer’s Police Canine Training for their donation of Dutch to the Orland Police Department. We would also like to thank North Valley Community Foundation and the Butte Strong Fund for their donation to pay for Dutch’s training and equipment.”
