Fairfield police arrest two teens for allegedly breaking into school

Two Fairfield teenagers were arrested and booked into Solano County Juvenile Hall for allegedly burglarizing Grange Middle School.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, a silent alarm went off in a classroom at the school at 9:50 p.m. on Sunday. The alarm in the classroom, as well as an alarm in a second classroom, were sounding when three officers approached the school. Officers also heard glass breaking.

The officers saw two teens walking from a classroom. The officers pursued the two by foot and caught up with the 16-year-old and 17-year-old teen boys after they hopped over a fence onto Dustin Court. Police said that one of the teens tossed a loaded BB gun while fleeing, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.

Police discovered that four classrooms had windows shattered. Police also recovered discarded property from the classrooms.

According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the teens were booked on suspicion of burglary, vandalism and resisting arrest. Additionally, the 16-year-old was on active probation was booked for probation violation.
