CHICO – It started as a traffic stop near Pillsbury and Cohasset Roads on the night of January 26.
K9 Odin also arrived to the traffic stop on the car and its driver, 21-year-old Kyle Silva-Larva.
The Chico Police Department reports, “During a scent search on the outside of the vehicle, K9 Odin detected the presence of narcotic odor within the vehicle.”
Inside the vehicle the officers discovered “93 Oxycodone pills, 15 Hydrocodone pills, 325.09 gross grams of Marijuana, a digital scale as well as suspected narcotic packaging materials. A loaded 9mm handgun was also located in the vehicle during the search.”
Silva-larva was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, transportation of narcotics and possession of a loaded firearm.
