A Red Bluff man has been arrested after reportedly being caught on a doorbell camera illegally gaining access to a residence.
48-year-old Charles Cope was captured on a Ring Doorbell camera lurking in front of a home while the resident was at work. In the video, he is shown looking under the doormat and finding a spare key, which he then used to open the front door and peak inside.
The resident was able to see Cope’s actions remotely while she was at work and contacted police, who responded and took him into custody.
He faces a charge of burglary as well as several outstanding warrants.
