Sutter County pair arrested on multiple felony charges, including attempted carjacking

“This past Wednesday, Austin Wade Branch, 23 years old, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged carjacking. Branch and an accomplice allegedly used a weapon and took a vehicle by force in the area of Nuestro Road, just West of N. Township Road. The stolen vehicle was later located in Yuba County and when deputies attempted to contact Branch, he fled and barricaded himself in a residence. The Bi-County Swat Team responded and Branch was taken into custody, a short time later without incident.
Branch was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail on multiple felony charges.
Branch’s alleged accomplice, Irene Naomi Mae Acord, 22 years old, was also arrested on multiple felony charges.
