SLO County authorities dismantle trafficking operation, arrest two suspects
The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office has announced the dismantling of an illegal narcotic trafficking operation as well as the arrests of two individuals following an 11-month investigation.
The two individuals are identified as Timothy Kieth Moore (41) and Jesse Daniel Talaugon (38) — both of San Luis Obispo.
Talaugon was arrested after a search warrant was served on his car during a traffic stop on South Street on February 20th, during which deputies also discovered around 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine, packaged baggies containing suspected heroin and suspected fentanyl, and around $4,000 in cash.
Detectives also served a search warrant for a home on the 100 block of South Street in San Luis Obispo, where they seized around ten pounds of methamphetamine, a 3/4 kilogram of heroin, scales, packaging materials indicative of narcotics trafficking, and two handguns.
Moore was arrested February 19th during a traffic stop on Highway 101 near Santa Maria. Police had found nearly one pound of meth, one kilogram of heroin, one kilogram of fentanyl, a loaded handgun, bags of pills, and over $2,000 cash in the car.
Talaugon faces charges of conspiracy to transport/sell narcotics, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance for sale, and gun charges.
Moore faces charges of conspiracy to transport/sell narcotics, possession of a controlled substance for sale, and gun charges.
