A man has been arrested on suspicion of repeatedly burglarizing a Kings Gospel Mission C-train.
Kings County deputies were dispatched to the Mission’s location on 6th Street in Armona this past Saturday, March 21, to investigate another burglary; the second at this location in the last three days.
An employee told deputies he’d found stolen items from the previous burglary at a homeless encampment adjacent to the property.
He also said he’d seen a man walk to and enter a home on the 1300 block of Front Street from the area where the items had been found.
Deputies later contacted the man, identified as 50-year-old Robert Ryan Harden, as he left the home and detained him after realizing he matched the description provided by the victim.
Video surveillance footage and a positive ID from the victim connected Harden to both burglaries, as well as a set of keys found on Harden’s person that belonged to one of the stolen items.
More stolen items from the burglaries were found in Harden’s camp.
He was arrested and booked at the Kings County Jail on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property.
