This story from the Colusa Police Department official Facebook page sure seems cut and dry as a man steals a gun one day and is arrested for the crime the next day –
“On 04/01/2020, at approximately 1:55 PM, CPD officers were dispatched to the area of Kittle’s Outdoor for a report of a theft, later determined to be a handgun.
Officers conducted an area check for the suspect but where not able to locate him.
The investigation continued and a suspect was identified
. On 04/02/2020 members of the Colusa Police Department and Colusa County Sheriff’s Officer executed a search warrant on the 1300 block of Lurline Ave. where they located and arrested the suspect, Dejon Tyrone Stewart.
He was booked into the jail for various firearms and theft charges.”
