June 2, 2020 – Ventura County – When America’s Founding Fathers addressed their concerns for the extent of government control over the citizenry by adding The Second Amendment to the Constitution and providing for an individual’s right to bear arms, they may not have been aware of the psychological compulsion some people have to take these rights to an excessive extreme.
Dominguez’ weapons
39-year-old Santa Paula resident Glen Dominguez may be such an individual, as evidenced by his May 28th arrest. Dominguez, according to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Sgt. Victor Medina, is “a convicted felon and a documented Santa Paula gang member” with 2015 convictions for multiple firearms violations and for “dissuading a witness from testifying.”
During the month of May, the VCSD Gang Unit received information that Dominguez was in ongoing possession of prohibited weaponry. A search warrant for his person, vehicle, and residence was obtained and served on the morning of May 28th.
He was found to be in possession of a pair of loaded handguns and “numerous rounds of ammunition, all in violation of the terms of his felony parole.
Dominguez was taken into custody and transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was booked on multiple “firearm and gang-related offenses” with his bail set at $500,000.
