Possession of unregistered firearm, large capacity magazine while under the influence

Here’s a story from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Deprtment about a man and his illegal gun –
“SUMMARY: On July 12, 2020, at approximately 2:33 a.m., Deputy Rule, from the Sheriff’s Central Station, conducted a traffic stop in the area of N. Waterman Avenue and E. 13th Street in San Bernardino.
Rule contacted the passenger of the vehicle identified as Edward Gardiel who displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance. During a search of the vehicle, Rule located a 9mm gun and 13-round, high capacity magazine. Gardiel was arrested for P.C. 25850(c)(6), Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, H.S. 11550(E), Use Controlled Substance While Possessing a Firearm, P.C. 32310, Possess Large Capacity Magazine and booked into Central Detention Center.
