Border-Blocked in the Wilderness – Previously-Deported Paisa Gang Member’s Attempted Return to U.S.

OCOTILLO – U.S. Border Patrol agents shut down a documented Paisa-Gang member’s attempted re-entry into the U.S. The perilous episode began in a remote area on 08/17/2020.
“The incident occurred at around 9:05 a.m., when agents assigned to the El Centro Station apprehended a man in the Jacumba Wilderness approximately 29 miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry,” said U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). As a matter of course, “The man was transported to the El Centro Station for immigration and criminal history screening.”
As a result, the El Centro Sector Agents arrested “a documented Paisas gang member with an extensive criminal history.” The identity of the 42-year-old illegal alien from Mexico currently remains anonymous, pending investigation.
Agents’ record checks revealed that “an immigration judge formally removed the illegal alien on Aug. 30, 2010 in Eloy, Arizona, back to Mexico,” announced CBP. The gang-member’s extensive rap sheet included previously-conducted felonious events in San Luis Obispo and Sacramento.
His illegal activities resulted in multiple convictions for “felony narcotics possession as well as vehicle theft,” said CBP. “In total, he was sentenced to over eight years incarceration for his numerous convictions.”
The member of Paisa, a ruthless underworld Mexican gang, is being held in federal custody for criminal prosecution.
