“San Mateo, CA – On Friday, December 18, 2020, at 4:19 a.m., San Mateo Police Department officers arrested a burglary suspect after they were called to a residential burglary in the unit block of Emerald Court.
The resident called police after hearing her residential alarm sound in the early morning hours. Officers arrived on scene and found the suspect had entered through an unlocked side garage door to steal items from inside the garage.
Minutes later, officers located an occupied vehicle in the same area driving with its lights off. An enforcement stop of the vehicle netted the burglary suspect and the stolen property recovered.
The suspect was transported to San Mateo County Jail and booked on theft charges.
