“In September Violence Suppression Task Force (VSTF) Officers arrested Mark Rodriguez (33), who is an active norteno gang member and on Parole, for possession of narcotics for sales.
Rodriguez was released from Monterey County Jail on zero bail due to Covid-19 and VSTF continued their investigation. Last night VSTF conducted a Parole search of Rodriguez and his residence, with assistance from Monterey County Parole.
K9 Oakley @sniffer_oakley conducted a sniff of the residence alerting to a couch in the living room. Inside the couch was a loaded firearm with an obliterated serial number.
During a further search a large amount of cutting agent(Benzocaine powder), a scale with narcotics residue, and $78,000 dollars was found. Rodriguez was transported to Monterey County Jail where he was lodged on gun and drug charges.
This time VSTF obtained a bail enhancement for Rodriguez. #VSTF #gangsarebad #drugsarebad #oakleygonnagetya #wedontgiveup #teamwork #moneymoneymoney
