The problem with being active in the marketplace of illegal drugs is that one has to deal with other people…and whether those other people are part of the supply chain or are members of one’s customer base, they talk to other people, some of whom are occasionally tasked with the enforcement of the law.
That seems to be the case leading to the January 21st arrest of 57-year-old Ventura resident Charles Tomlinson. According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Eduardo Malagon, Tomlinson was the subject of “information” regarding his activities as a busy merchant of methamphetamine throughout the county.
With that “information” as a starting point, a discreet investigation ensued, resulting in the issuance of a search warrant and its execution at Tomlinson’s residence on the afternoon of the 21st .
Once inside Tomlinson’s home, detectives discovered “320 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, Alprazolam pills” with cash and other evidence “indicative of narcotics sales.”
Tomlinson was taken into custody and transported to Ventura County Jail, where he was charged with multiple counts of possession of illegal drugs for sale.
